1.Protecting your personal data
In accordance with the Regulations, HUMILITY records all the processing activities it carries out in a register of processing activities, which we make available to the CNIL. All information you may have provided to HUMILITY during your visits to the Site is strictly confidential. This information is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.
1.1.What Personal Data is collected and processed?
The information that may be collected and processed is as follows:
- Identification and contact details: your first name, last name, date of birth, gender, postal address, delivery address, telephone number, email address, language and the country from which you interact with us;
- Financial and payment data: your bank details (in this regard, please note that all payment transactions are encrypted by the receiving bank and that we do not retain any card numbers), information about your purchases, orders, returns, etc.;
- Login details (such as your username and password), geolocation data (only with your consent) and browsing data (if you use the “find a store” service, for example); and
- Personal preferences: this includes your cookie preferences.
When we ask you to enter your personal data to access a feature, some fields are mandatory because we need that data to give you access to the feature (for example, we need your postal address to deliver a parcel to you).
It is important that the personal information you share about yourself is accurate and up to date. Please update your information if it changes.

We require third parties that receive your personal data to commit to complying with personal data regulations. The third parties listed above may use your personal information only in accordance with our instructions and not for their own purposes.
Your connection and browsing data may also be transferred to Google Analytics.
HUMILITY may also disclose your Personal Data in response to an order from legal authorities.
HUMILITY does not transfer any of your Personal Data outside the European Union.
1.4. How long is your Personal Data retained?
We will retain your data for as long as you remain a customer and for ten (10) years after your last order, so that we can answer any questions or complaints and retain the data needed to meet legal, accounting or analytical requirements (Article L.123-22 of the French Commercial Code).
We may also retain your data for research or statistical analysis; it will then be anonymized.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will stop contacting you if you have not opened any of our newsletters for more than twelve (12) months.
Any changes to this Policy will be made on this page and, where applicable, you will be notified by email.
HUMILITY may also retain your data for research or statistical analysis. Once anonymized, this data is not subject to a regulatory retention period, as it can no longer be used to reidentify you.
1.5. Hosting of your Personal Data
HUMILITY operates in several countries, but your personal data is stored only on secure servers located in Europe.
However, to provide certain services, HUMILITY may need to route your data through servers that may be located anywhere in the world or give service providers located abroad access to your personal data. HUMILITY will take appropriate measures to keep personal information secure during transfer and upon receipt. Processors and service providers will be bound by contracts with HUMILITY incorporating the standard contractual clauses published by the European Commission. HUMILITY also requires its processors and service providers to ensure an adequate level of security, confidentiality and protection of privacy and fundamental rights.
1.6. What are your rights?
1.6.1. Consent
Your consent must be given clearly and unambiguously. Therefore, when you agree to complete the Site’s contact form:
- you are informed how your Personal Data will be used;
- you must tick a box to give your consent; and
- check that you are old enough to consent to the processing of your personal data
1.6.2. Other rights
In accordance with the Regulations, you have the following rights regarding your Personal Data:
- Right of access to data: this right allows you to receive a copy of the Personal Data we hold about you;
- Right to rectification: this right allows you to request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data about you;
- Right to erasure of your Personal Data: this right allows you to ask us to erase your Personal Data if one of the legal grounds applies:

- you have withdrawn the consent on which the processing is based;

1.7. What are the legal bases for processing?
The legal bases we rely on to process your data depend on how you interact with our Site.
When you purchase products from our Site, we collect and process your personal data to fulfill our contract with you. For example, we need your mailing address to deliver your order and your bank details to process your payment.
We also rely on other legal bases, such as your legitimate interests. For example, we consider it in your interest that your identity cannot be used for fraudulent purposes, that our customer service team can access your order information to serve you better, and that we can better understand how you use our Site to improve its usability and the services we offer you.
Finally, when Personal Data is processed for marketing purposes, the legal basis for that processing is your consent (see Article 1.6.1. above).

2.1. Security of your data on the Internet
The Site has appropriate security measures in place to prevent any loss, unauthorized use or access, alteration or disclosure of your Personal Data.
All personal data collected is stored on secure servers. HUMILITY has also put procedures in place to manage any personal data breach.
In the event of a personal data breach, LA FÉE MARABOUTÉE assesses the risks to the rights and freedoms of the individuals concerned and takes appropriate measures to limit the consequences of the breach.
Where required by law, LA FÉE MARABOUTÉE notifies the CNIL of a breach as soon as possible and, where feasible, within 72 hours of becoming aware of it. If the breach is likely to result in a high risk to the rights and freedoms of the individuals concerned, they are informed as soon as possible, unless an exception under applicable law applies.
2.2. Malicious activity
We recommend connecting only to secure networks, preferably private ones. Be aware of the risks associated with public Wi-Fi networks.
Although you have voluntarily provided your Personal Data to HUMILITY, given the nature of the Internet, other parties with no connection to HUMILITY may intercept it without your consent, particularly while you browse online. We therefore recommend installing antivirus and anti-spyware software on your computer and updating it regularly.
2.3. Impersonation/ Scams/ Phishing
HUMILITY will never ask you for personal information by email.
If you receive an email claiming to be from HUMILITY asking you to provide sensitive personal information (banking details, information about your private life, etc.), please do not reply. Forward the email to us so that we can take the necessary action.
You should only provide your account information after logging in to www.humility.fr directly through your browser.
- Cookie Policy
A cookie is a tracking file, meaning a text file that may be stored in a dedicated area of your Device’s hard drive when you visit a website. A cookie allows the party that sets it to identify the Device on which it is stored for as long as the cookie remains valid or stored.

3.1. What are the cookies set on our Site used for?
Only the party that sets a cookie can read or change the information it contains.
When you connect to the Site, HUMILITY may, subject to your choices, place various cookies on your Device to recognize its browser for as long as the relevant cookie remains valid.
Rakuten is a third party that may use the Site's cookies in your privacy policy.
The cookies we issue are used for the purposes described below:
- to conduct studies and compile statistics on traffic and use of the various parts of our Site (sections and content viewed, browsing paths), enabling HUMILITY to improve the appeal and usability of its services;
- to adapt the Site's display to your Device's display preferences (language, screen resolution, operating system, etc.) when you visit the Site, depending on your Device's hardware and viewing or reading software;
- to remember information you entered in a form on the Site (registration or access to your Member Area) or products, services or information you selected on the Site (a service you subscribed to, etc.);

- to implement security measures, for example when you are asked to log in again to access content or a service after a certain period of time.
3.2. Your cookie choices

3.2.4. Deleting your cookies

3.2.5. Private browsing
“Private browsing” mode, now available in all browsers, primarily lets you browse the Internet without saving a history of the pages you visit or the files you download.
